Account and Business Information
When you create an account or interact with Squid directly, we may collect business contact information such as name, email address, and company information.
Usage and Analytics Data
When the Squid Services are deployed on a customer's website or application, Squid processes analytics and usage data, which may include:
Clicks, scrolls, and navigation events
URLs and page metadata, including query strings
IP addresses or partial IP addresses
Device, browser, and operating system information
Session identifiers and timestamps
This data is collected solely for analytics, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and service improvement purposes.
3. Data Minimization, Hashing, and Anonymization
Squid is designed with privacy-first principles:
Squid does not store direct personal identifiers such as names or email addresses within behavioral analytics data
Identifiers are hashed and pseudonymized, and data is anonymized at rest where feasible
Data may be re-associated only for authorized customer access within the Squid user interface
Squid does not attempt to re-identify anonymized or pseudonymized data except as necessary to provide authorized access to customers through the Services
Usage data does not, by itself, identify an individual without additional information controlled by the customer.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Squid uses cookies and similar technologies to support functionality, security, and analytics.
Customers control whether and how Squid's Services are deployed on their websites or applications. Customers are solely responsible for providing legally required notices and obtaining any required user consent, including through cookie banners or consent management tools, before enabling Squid tracking.
Users may manage or disable cookies through their browser settings.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers using Squid are responsible for:
Providing clear and accurate disclosures to end users regarding analytics and tracking
Obtaining all required consents under applicable privacy laws
Ensuring their configuration and use of the Services complies with applicable law
Squid does not control customer websites, applications, or consent mechanisms.
6. How We Use Data
Squid processes data only to:
Provide, maintain, and operate the Services
Monitor performance and reliability
Detect, prevent, and address technical or security issues
Comply with legal obligations
Squid does not monitor the content of communications and does not engage in surveillance or interception of communications.
7. Data Sharing and Service Providers
Squid may engage trusted third-party service providers to assist with infrastructure, hosting, security, and support. These providers process data only on Squid's behalf and under confidentiality and data protection obligations.

Data may be processed or stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where Squid or its service providers operate. Appropriate safeguards are used where required by law, including Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and Squid does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
